I’ve taught and supported students across elementary, middle, and high school in inclusion, intervention, resource, and intensive special education settings.
My experience spans reading and language arts, math, science, functional academics, IEP implementation, accommodations, progress monitoring, and collaboration with families and general education teachers.
“Start where the student is, figure out what’s getting in the way, and build from there.”
Students can need high expectations and significant support at the same time. Those ideas are not opposites.
