Reading difficulties can have many causes. Instruction starts by noticing what a student can already do, identifying the next useful skill, and teaching it with clear practice and feedback.
Support may focus on: foundational reading skills and decoding, fluency, vocabulary, reading comprehension, and written responses, depending on the student’s needs.
